Join the Muindi Foundation’s Summer Learn Now 6-Week Academic Camp Team and make a meaningful impact in the lives of marginalized, under-resourced elementary-age children. Our camp is tailored to help these children reach grade-level proficiency and equip them with the skills necessary for academic success. What you will do: As a tutor/mentor for a minimum of 6 weeks, you will work with elementary-age children (entering grades 1st – 6th), many of whom are English language learners. Your role will be pivotal in assisting these children to achieve grade-level proficiency, empowering them to alter the course of their educational journey positively. You’ll foster an environment where children can enjoy learning, develop confidence, and cultivate a strong work ethic to pursue their educational goals. • Dates: June 17, 2024 – August 1, 2024 (MTWTH) • Work Days: Monday – Thursday • Program Times: 8:00 am – 3:00 pm (20 -24 hours a week) • Hourly Wage: $25 – $30 per hour based on experience • Office Location: 1040 Park Avenue, Suite 200-D (upstairs), San Jose, CA 95126 Minimum Qualifications: Must be at least 18 years old Currently attending (in good standing) or graduated from a 4-year university. Completion of the Muindi Foundation Application, providing three professional references. CPR certified A minimum of 2-years’ experience in teaching or tutoring elementary-age children. Proficiency in all aspects of Language Arts and Mathematics.
